Medications To Stop Taking 5-7 Days prior to your Testing Appointment
Important Information About Allergy Testing
Patients scheduled for allergy testing must stop taking any medications that contain antihistamines for 5 days prior to testing.
Antihistamines include:
Alavert
Allegra
Astelin
Astepro
Atarax
Benadryl
Cetirizine
Claritin
Clarinex
Cyproheptadine
Diphenhydramine
Fexofenadine
Hydroxyzine
Loratadine
Xyzal
Zyrtec
Do Not Stop - Continue to use:
Do not stop any inhaled asthma medications or routine medications that treat blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, etc.
